Start off your career in the Automotive industry with a traineeship at the leading European tyre and wheel distributor.
Have you just finished university, or has your first work experience not yet given you what you were looking for? If so, perhaps a traineeship at Global Automotive Investments Holding BV is just what you need! To help our operating companies innovate and professionalise, we are looking for ambitious trainees.
Who are we?
Global Automotive is a leading player in European tyre and wheel distribution, with a group turnover of more than EUR 1 billion per year and a strong ambition to grow. Our operating companies are active in various parts of the automotive supply chain – for example, international wholesale, regional distribution, manufacturing, retail, and services.
Global Automotive was founded in 2017 as the parent organisation of companies such as Inter-Sprint Group and Van den Ban Group, which have both been in business for over 50 years. Global Automotive was founded with the aim of bringing together the management and organisation of these groups and working from a single vision, strategy and policy. The implementation of this strategy is embedded in the STIP1-2023 programme, which has the objective of having a completely renewed process and IT environment in all parts of the organisation by 2023. All trainees will be given an important – educational – role in various projects within this ambitious programme, in which you will be given every opportunity to apply and further develop your knowledge and skills.
Who are we looking for?
Whether your background and interests lie in supply chain, commerce, logistics, information science, data analytics or in other fields, we’re offering a range of opportunities to further develop your talent and skills. For instance, skills that will help you to achieve planned results, to get people behind change, to communicate with conviction and to resolve issues. Skills you will gain on the ground as part of our International Traineeship
What will you be doing?
Along with 3 fellow trainees, you will start a 2-year work and education programme that will familiarise you with various parts of the organisation. Every six months, you will participate in a project in another discipline, where the focus will lie on the integration and optimisation of business processes. Together with the team, you’ll be the link between management and operations, assisting management in improvement processes, which you will subsequently devise and implement at an international level.
All our trainees follow a personal development programme under the supervision of a coach. In addition, various training courses will be organised both internally and externally to ensure that you maximise your development and are ready for a key role within our organisation.
The location of this position is at our head offices in Moerdijk or Hellevoetsluis in the Netherlands or at Götenborg in Sweden, but, in line with the STIP1 programme, 25% of your activity will be devoted to our subsidiary organisations in Germany and Spain.
What should you bring to the table?
You are highly ambitious and wish to develop yourself. You also have a high degree of conceptual thinking skills, are performance-orientated, socially adept, interested in learning more, discerning and have a hands-on mentality that fits into our corporate culture. Furthermore, you have a recently-completed university degree and excellent command of Swedish and English.
